Waterloo is known internationally for its two Universities: Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo. In this lively University Town, T.O.’s Kathi Roll Eatery is a hip and colourful counter for globally-influenced Indian street food, especially inventive wraps.
I got to try the food truck at the Toronto Food Truck Festival. The butter chicken poutine was exceptional, the sauce was perfect and the chicken was tender and juicy. Mix that with crispy french fries and cheese curds and it's a great flavor fusion in every bite. What a great idea! Good portion as well. Definitely worth a visit
Came here the other day and will definitely be coming back! We got the tandoori fish tacos and chicken tikka kathi roll — both was delicious! Good portions and they are not shy with the sauces 🙂 highly recommend to anyone in the Waterloo
Their boas were pretty good but their butter chicken poutine was a 3/10. Original butter chicken is supposed to have some kind of sweetness in it, that’s the distinctive difference between that and most other curries but theirs did not have any. It was just a salty chicken curry taste. I did not enjoy that at all. Others might like it, but I expected something better.
I will be honest and the food was nice but what was a huge spoiler was the behavior of employees, specially the one who was taking orders. We were in a great mood and wanted to grab a quick bite and we were trying this for the first time. Their server didn’t take our order correctly, took over 25 minutes to deliver our order, probably because the TIP hr received was lower than he’d expected and then when we requested him to rectify the order, to make it as we had asked, he upfront refused arrogantly. I understand that their menu is nice and food is delicious but that doesn’t grant their employees to insult customers. They should certainly have some sort of training to teach their employees how customers should be treated. Instead of being greedy, money hungry Management, if you focus on providing excellent customer service, your profits will automatically increase.
One of our favourite places for KATHI ROLLS and SHAKES (must try)!!We tried:• Soya Chaap• Aloo Masala + Egg Kathi Roll• Paneer Tikka Kathi Roll• Lindt MochaWe found this amazing place in Brampton couple of years back and we used to visit Brampton West location frequently. This time we tried Waterloo location and the taste is not as great as Brampton. They have also added side of fries with Kathi roll which works great but I would prefer if they can let us know while placing the order or mention in the menu.I would love to try all their milkshakes if they would give me some discount 😉Shakes: 20/10Food: 7/10Price: 8/10Staff: 10/10
The food here is really awesome, tasty and giving authentic Indian taste in many items. And telling about shakes, they are tremendously delicious and yummy, its just in next plaza to my home and me and my wife visit one a week or two there. Most recommended to visit here if you are foodie. Moreover, the staff is also very kind and supportive here.
Loved the food and vibes here. I ordered:1. Piri Piri Chicken Wings with Fries: the wings are yummmm! The taste is great and the fries just hit the spot.2. The crunch munch burger with fries: it was so good it finished in a matter of minutes. All of the toppings came together to give a super yum flavour. The fries again were just 10/10.3. Mac N Cheese with Butter chicken: it was good but i personally enjoy the 2 things separate, my husband on the other hand devoured it.Overall experience was great, the employees are super nice too. Will definitely be coming back in the future.
Really wish I could give 5 stars. These guys are really good however, they did mess our order and hence had to cut down the star. Please note that they are 2 restaurants together at one location but they have separate Google profiles and therefore I would have to write separate reviews for both. The location is perfect for a quick bite. If you do not wish to eat at the Conestoga Mall food court and want to try something different, make sure to visit here!!!They are located in a small plaza and hence they do not have too many parking spots, however, if you do not go at a busy time you should be able to find a spot. They are not big on Dine-in or patio. They have 2 tables outside the place and 3-4 tables inside. So not too much seating capacity. If you wish to dine-in and are going at a busy time, make sure to call first!!!!Love the way how they have their complete menu on the wall! Very easy to choose and also ask questions. They do not have too many items on the menu but they can play around with almost every item the way you want! Anything can be made a veggie version and any item can be combined with another. Jst ask!!! 🤘In addition to the items on the menu, you can also pick from the items displayed in the place. They also have really nice Halloween decorations within the place. They do have handicapped accessible entrance but it doesn't work and their washroom was out for maintenance when we visited approx 1.5 weeks ago. Hence, one star taken out. They have one of the best staff members we have ever met!!! Super helpful, understanding and very very innovative. So pls do not hesitate to communicate with them if you have any questions or if you want to play around with the menu options. Here goes the feedback on the order:Aloo tikki burger - really really awesome and tangy! A must try for all veggie lovers!! 5/5Cheesy noodles with mango Momo's - they know how to put cheese in "cheesy". OMG! As you can see on all the pics they are amazing! However, they did not deliver the same quality on the momos, there was no taste of "mangoes". Hence, have to take out another star. 3/5Chicken Kathi roll - delicious! Tangy and not too spicy. It was really good and saucy. 5/5Chicken on the rocks - love their sauces!!! Pls ask to put more sauce and trust me you will love them!! Good quality chicken too!! 5/5Mix veg roll - very well made. They make sure the veggie lovers are equally happy! ❤️ 5/5Overall, you pay for a very good quality food (except for momos), not too much quantity though and price is reasonably on the higher side.We are really hoping to go here once again to try more innovative ideas on their menu and probably make more weird combos to try 😛Kudos to the amazing team for trying the new ideas! 👍A special mention for my close friend Anshul for all the great pics that you see here. Thanks man! 🙋
I had been soo excited to try this new place in town and undoubtedly they lived upto my expectations! They have a variety of fusion food which includes Butter chicken mac n cheese, chicken tikka kathi rolls and not to forget waffle crispy chicken sandwich! I absolutely loved their WAFFLE CRISPY CHICKEN SANDWICH! Sweet & sour taste! Must try 👌🏻
